Located in the progressive city of Santa Cruz do Sul, state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, founded in 1882 by  German immigrant Wilhelm Schreiner, first as a blacksmith’s shop,  then foundry, Máquinas Schreiner is the oldest existing factory of brick & tile machinery in Brazil.

In the beginning of industrial times, very many types of machines were produced, such as pneumatic hammers for blacksmiths, mills, planers, boilers, threshing machines, band saws, wood lathes and, also, brick & tile machinery.

Since the thirties, more importance was given to tile moulds and  presses, which have been produced  for over seventy years, considering the former models. Headed nowadays by one of the founder’s great-great grandson (fith generation), new concepts and higher qualification are continuously pursued, always according to market demands.
